From looking at the website you got a totally different impression of the place than reality. My impression was that I got ripped off and the staff attitude was that they can get you one time and if you never come back, that is ok. The cleaning of the room and towels were an issue as late as 5pm on the second night. To me, the website is a false impression of what to expect

the Staff go out of there way to help you in any way. the fitness room is amazing! The Continental breakfast is very good. the location is perfect to get to many area attractions.
the bed was a little saggy, comfortable top mattress, but the support was not there at all.

Easy bike distance to attractions and on a bike path. Friendly staff. Water view from our room. 'Green' practices. Espresso stand across the street. Shuttle to airport and ferry.
First impression: Eeka Freeka! It's a strip mall. But this is a faint damn, pizza, movies, arcade are rainy day on-site entertainment. The praise is making a comfortable...almost boutiquey, inn out of a strip mall. We got over it immediately.

The hotel is at the edge of town - but it's on Eagle Bay. Every morning we'd see 7 or 8 bald eagles flying and landing at the Bay, and the same in the evening. Truly magical. We walked to town taking the short cut through the National Park - which was a wonderful transition, very beautiful trail with a bridge over the river. It's also a two minute walk to the Raptor Centre (the sanctuary). The breakfast is bagels with cream cheese or jam, fruit, toast, cereal. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant in the plaza where the hotel is located (honestly - it's called Pizza Express but excellent Mexican food), and one of the town's two hotel's is in the plaza (as well as a pet shop!). So, we enjoyed it, but it's out of town, in a strip mall.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They provided us with a great deal of good information about the area and answered questions cheerfully. The rooms were spotless and the quality of matresses and pillows were superior to far more expensive hotels. It is convenient to many of the outdoor activities in Sitka and away from the bustle of downtown and tourist boats.
It does not have a restaurant, but there are several close by the Inn.
